Creating Value in BNI Rendezvous

Consider this: regardless of which industry we are in, we are all in marketing business and in order to "sell" yourself and your business.

Your BNI chapter means to answer 2 "simple" questions. Here is my version (totally subjective and not forced by anyone :o)).



 

  1. Why BNI ?
    There are many benefits stated down at BNI website why BNI but I guess we all have to figure it out for ourselves at the end of the day. Why is BNI for me and why do I recommend BNI to others? In my business I have tried many marketing / selling methods and I failed in many of them. As years went by and I read some books and learned from smarter people. I realized that in fact there are some strategies that work better than other if they match well your product/service life cycle and mostly your personality. While word of mouth marketing can work for me in my business, it might not work for my colleague in the same company. Why ? I do not know, some people do much better in sales when they cold call or focus on advertising. I do lot better when i network and build relationships, when I have space to do follow ups that I enjoy. Being a business owner I want to really enjoy what I do, I want to have space to achieve my results in the way that suits me and I believe all staff should be allowed to do that too. That is how I realized networking makes me happy and I enjoy it and it brings results to me. I love sales but not pushing sales, rather pulling sales where I can use law of attraction for example. Now, by being aware of all this, I could not find a better platform to realize myself in this way other than BNI. I tried many, but so far BNI proved to be the lasting one. BNI is built to last and that's what I admire about it. I find immense value in it and I am proud to be a member of BNI Rendezvous.

  2. Why BNI Rendezvous? Just like BNI way of doing business and networking must match your personality to produce results, chapter that you join must also do that. What would be the point of struggling in the group where nobody likes you, where you like no one and where you are not able to perform basic BNI philospohy of "Givers Gain". People can't be forced to be givers, they must be attracted and internally motivated to GIVE. BNI Rendezvous is a place that creates all that for me. Of course, it is not as simple as that. I am a results oriented person and I like things that are dynamic, that are moving, that are innovative, that's how I do my business and that's how we practice word of mouth in Rendezvous chapter. We might be sometimes too scary for people who prefer more intimate environment, but we definitely attract people who like to be challenged, who like to perform, who are not afraid of being ahead of others by utilizing technology, who work hard but know how to have fun too, who can keep up with our energy and enthusiasm. That's who we are or maybe who we became thanks to our super dynamic members and it works for us and for me, so that's why I chose BNI Rendezvous.



We meet every Friday from 7.30am to 9.30am, at Cherie's Pan, 21 Tan Quee Lan Street #01-03/03A Heritage Place.
